Built to the elements.
Reviewed by the officer.

LEO Document Assistant is a drafting aid. It is built to the elements of each statute so the officer starts from the correct legal language, but the officer remains the complainant and is responsible for the facts sworn to. The District Attorney and the court decide sufficiency, and every document should be reviewed before it is signed.

How it works

  1. Choose the charge by searching the section number or plain-language summary.
  2. Confirm the offense level and the mental state the app has pre-filled or flagged.
  3. Enter the defendant, the incident and the facts in the officer's own words.
  4. Review the document, confirm the review, and print. The case clears from the device automatically a few minutes later, or when the tab is closed.

Where we are: the app is in a pilot phase as a single file that runs offline in a web browser. A hosted version with sign-in through your agency's Microsoft or Google accounts is in development. The data page marks which features are available now and which are coming.
