Individual plans
Terms of service
Effective October 21, 2026. These terms apply to individual officers using LEO Document Assistant on a free trial or a paid plan. Agencies are covered by their own written agreement.
Effective October 21, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Raptor Media Group LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Raptor," "we"), for your use of LEO Document Assistant (the "App") as an individual, on a free trial or a paid plan. You accept them by ticking the box agreeing to them before you start a trial or subscribe.
Summary of your plan
FREE TRIAL THAT BECOMES A PAID PLAN. Your free trial lasts 7 calendar days, counting the day you start (longer where state law requires it; the end date is shown before you start). You must give a card to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged and your chosen plan starts automatically ($10 per month or $110 per year). If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged. We email you a reminder before the trial ends. One free trial per person.
PAID PLANS RENEW AUTOMATICALLY. The monthly plan renews every month at $10, and the yearly plan renews every year at $110, charged to the card you give at checkout, until you cancel. Cancel any time online at app.leodocumentassistant.com/account > Manage my subscription, or by emailing [email protected]. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for and are not charged again. We remind you 30 days before a yearly plan renews, and give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
1. Who can use the App
You must be at least 18 and work for, or with, a law enforcement agency in the United States. You are responsible for making sure your agency allows you to use the App and to buy it yourself. Some agencies do not allow officers to use personally purchased software for official documents.
2. Free trial
2.1 Starting. You start a free trial at app.leodocumentassistant.com/subscribe by signing in, choosing a monthly or yearly plan, ticking the box agreeing to these terms, and giving a card through Stripe. The trial end date and the first charge date and amount are shown before you confirm. The trial lasts through the end of the 7th calendar day, counting the day you start as day 1. Where state law requires a longer trial or an earlier reminder, we follow it; for example, a trial with a Maryland billing address lasts 21 days.
2.2 Automatic conversion. WHEN THE TRIAL ENDS, YOUR CARD IS CHARGED FOR THE PLAN YOU CHOSE, AND THE PLAN THEN RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY UNDER SECTION 3, UNLESS YOU CANCEL BEFORE THE TRIAL ENDS. If you cancel during the trial, you are not charged and your access ends when the trial ends.
2.2A Reminders. We email you an acknowledgment when your trial starts, with the trial end date, the price and how to cancel, and a reminder 4 days before the trial ends (15 days for a Maryland billing address).
2.3 One trial per person. Each person may have one free trial. We will refuse a trial if your email address, your Google or Microsoft sign-in account, or your card has been used for a trial or subscription before, or if you use a temporary email address. If a repeat trial gets through, we cancel it at once without charging you and tell you by email. To enforce this, we keep a record of the email addresses, sign-in account identifiers and card fingerprints (a code from Stripe that identifies a card without revealing its number) used for trials and subscriptions for three years.
3. Paid plans and automatic renewal
3.1 Plans. The monthly plan is $10 per month. The yearly plan is $110 per year. Prices are in US dollars. Any sales tax that applies is shown at checkout.
3.2 Automatic renewal. YOUR PLAN RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY AT THE END OF EACH MONTH OR YEAR, FOR THE SAME LENGTH OF TIME, AND WE CHARGE THE THEN-CURRENT PRICE TO YOUR CARD ON FILE, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. The renewal date is the same day of the month (or year) on which your plan started.
3.3 Your consent. Before you give a card, you are shown these renewal terms and must tick a box agreeing to these terms. We record the version of the terms you agreed to, the exact text shown and when you agreed. Your acknowledgment email and receipts repeat the renewal terms and how to cancel. Keep them for your records.
3.4 Payments. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
4. How to cancel
4.1 Online. From Your account in the App, choose Manage my subscription. That opens Stripe's billing page, already signed in, where you can cancel in one step. You do not have to call, chat or answer questions to cancel. This works during a free trial too.
4.2 By email. You may also cancel by emailing [email protected] from the address on your plan. We will confirm by email.
4.3 When it takes effect. Cancellation stops all future renewals. You keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
5. Reminders and price changes
5.1 For yearly plans, we email you a reminder about 30 days before each renewal, with the renewal date, the price and how to cancel.
5.2 Once a year we email every subscriber, including monthly subscribers, a reminder of their plan, its price and how to cancel.
5.3 We will email you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect for your plan, with how to cancel. A new price applies only from your next renewal after that notice.
6. Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it and your access continues for 7 days. If the payment still fails, your plan ends and access stops. If your first payment never succeeded, there is no grace period. A document you have open when access ends can still be finished and printed.
7. Refunds
7.1 We do not give partial refunds for unused time after you cancel. You keep access through the end of the paid period.
7.2 If you are charged in error, or charged after cancelling, tell us at [email protected] and we will refund that charge.
7.3 Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you have under law that cannot be waived.
8. Your account
8.1 You sign in with your own Google or Microsoft account. We never receive your password. Your plan is for you alone; do not share your sign-in or let others use the App under your plan.
8.2 A sign-in lasts up to 12 hours. On a shared computer, sign out when you finish. Auto-clear erases case information but does not sign you out.
8.3 Individual plans use the hosted App at app.leodocumentassistant.com only. The offline edition is available only to agencies.
9. License
While your trial or paid plan is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your law enforcement work. You may not copy, resell or share the App, or try to get around its sign-in or licensing. We keep all other rights in the App.
10. You are responsible for every document
10.1 The App is a drafting aid. It is not legal advice and does not replace your judgment, your agency's policies, or the guidance of your prosecutor and court.
10.2 Before you sign, file or serve a document, you are responsible for reviewing all of it, including the charge, its text and class, the culpable mental state, the document type, the factual allegations and any supporting deposition, and for confirming that it is accurate and legally sufficient.
10.3 Anything the App pre-fills or suggests is a starting point only. The law data has a compiled date shown in the App, and statutes change. We do not guarantee that the law data is current or complete.
11. Case information and privacy
11.1 Case information you enter is processed only in your browser, in memory, and is never sent to us or anyone else. The App is delivered with a security setting that blocks it from making any connection.
11.2 Do not send us case information or criminal justice information, including in support requests or screenshots. Use invented or redacted details.
11.3 For your account we keep your name, email address, sign-in account identifier, first and last sign-in dates, and the subscription status and paid-through date Stripe sends us; the trial records in Section 2.3 for three years; and the record of your agreement to these terms, kept for six years. We send account emails, such as acknowledgments and reminders, through an email delivery provider. Our privacy notice at www.leodocumentassistant.com/privacy.html explains what we collect and how long we keep it, and is part of these terms.
12. Availability
The App is hosted on commercial cloud infrastructure in the United States. After you sign in, your browser keeps a copy so the App can open without a connection, but only until your trial end date or paid-through date; after that it stops opening until you sign in again with an active plan. We do not promise the App will always be available. If we discontinue the App, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid fees for the unused part of your period.
13. No warranty
EXCEPT AS STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ITS LAW DATA IS ERROR-FREE OR CURRENT, OR THAT ANY DOCUMENT WILL BE FOUND SUFFICIENT BY A COURT.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES FROM THE DISMISSAL, REDUCTION OR LOSS OF ANY CHARGE OR PROSECUTION, AND OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.
15. Ending your access
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, for example by sharing your sign-in or sending us case information on purpose, after notice where practical. If we end your plan without cause, we will refund the unused part of your paid period.
16. Feedback
If you send us suggestions or problem reports, we may use them to improve the App without payment or obligation to you. We will not name you as the source without your consent.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version at www.leodocumentassistant.com/terms.html with a new effective date and, for a material change, email subscribers at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel before then. A change never shortens a period you have already paid for.
18. General
New York law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be decided in the state or federal courts located in New York State. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms and the privacy notice are the whole agreement between you and us about individual plans.
